Martin Luther King Jr. was a very special person who believed everyone should be treated equally, no matter the color of their skin. He gave amazing speeches and led peaceful marches to fight for justice and make the world a better place. Dr. King taught us that we can all work together to create a world where everyone is kind and respected. The United States set aside the third Monday in January as a holiday to honor him.
